Includes Oakleigh Cottage, Main Street.
Range of 5 or 6 cottages, now 3 dwellings. Mid/late C18. Coursed limestone
rubble with squared dressings; Stonesfield-slate and concrete plain-tile roofs
with stone stacks. L-shaped range of 4 single-unit plans and one 2-unit plan. 2
storeys. Main range facing The Green is divided into four 2-window sections, all
with segmental arches to the ground-floor openings. The 3 sections to left, now
forming one dwelling, have 2-light C20 casements and a plain-tile roof; Corner
Cottage, to right, has old leaded casements of 2 and 3 lights at first floor,
and has a wider 3-light casement plus the entrance below. Oakleigh Cottage,
facing Main Street, has a 3-window front with leaded 2-light casements, and has
the entrance between bays 2 and 3. Interiors not inspected.
