Mission church and Sunday School, now office. Dated 1827 over
door; altered. Red brick in Flemish bond with some sandstone
dressings (roof not visible). Rectangular plan with apsidal
south end, on island site. Simple Gothic style. Gable to
street, two storeys and cellar, three bays, symmetrical, with
pilastered corners, 1st-floor sill-band; slightly raised
centre with two semicircular steps up to 2-centred arched
doorway which has fanlight with intersecting glazing bars, a
large stone plaque above the door inscribed "SUNDAY SCHOOL /
MDCCCXXVII", a large 2-centred arched 3-light window at
1st-floor with intersecting glazing bars, and another stone
plaque above this (worn inscription illegible); smaller
2-centred arched windows to both floors of the outer bays,
with Y-tacery; gable parapet with oculus (now open, the roof
lowered). Five-window sides in similar style.
