Milestone. Mid-C18 to early C19. Short, squared upright piece
of limestone with rounded top (chipped), the sides and top
decorated with closely set, incised parallel lines.
Inscription on face difficult to read; it seems to say FROM
ASHBURTON. The mileage at the top has been weathered away.
