House, now offices; possibly originally offices. c1870.
Irregular thin courses of rock faced stone with ashlar plinth,
quoins and dressings; roof of graduated stone slates with
stone ridge, gable copings and chimneys. Gothic Revival style.
2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Steps up to central door
with 6 diagonally-boarded panels in Gothic surrounds, and
shouldered head; shaped overlight in pointed arch of moulded
stone doorcase with nook-shafts and corbels to shouldered head
with decorated roll-moulded coping. Flanking canted bay
windows in similar style have 4-pane sashes. Sill band to
first-floor sashes, the central narrow and the others 4-pane.
Corbelled eaves gutter below steeply pitched roof. 2 gabled
dormers have shaped 4-pane sashes and pierced bargeboards.
Gable copings rest on corbelled block kneelers. End stone
chimneys. INTERIOR: not inspected.
