Description

LUDLOW

SO5174 BULL RING
825-1/1/172 (East side)
15/03/74 Nos.22 AND 23

GV II

House, now shops and dwellings. C18. Stucco; Welsh slate roof;
brick ridge stack. 3-storeys; 5-window range: to left, three
C18, 6/6 sashes in slightly protruding bay; two 3/6 sashes;
four 3/6 sashes over and, to right, one 4/4 sash. To left,
late C19 shopfront with central glazed door and moulded
glazing bars, panelled pilasters and moulded hood on consoles.
Under this hood is glazed entrance door to separate shop, with
C20 light, and to right, curved C20 window. To extreme right
is passage to rear with spurstones and plank double doors.
Rear gable shows end of rubble side wall to right, the
remainder roughcast; end of left side brick wall is recessed
from roughcast gable, which appears to show trace of timber
member. Rear of No.23 has C20 brick wing under plain tile
roof. Rear roof pitch seems shallower.
