Bakery. Early C19. Brick; rubble; plain tiled gable roof with
smaller gable to left; C20 chimney to rear. 2-unit plan with
later rear cross-wing. 2-storeys and attic to main unit,
2-storeys to left. Main unit has two C20 lights with
casements; C20 plank double doors in earlier case, to hoist
entrance, under oak lintel; C20 double doors and light, under
segmental arch, to ground floor. Wing to left has C20
monopitch corrugated-iron roof, but retains some original oak
tie-beams and lintels; C20 light with glazing bars to ground
floor, with C20 plank door over; rounded return to left, under
brick corbelling; dentilled eaves to left side. INTERIOR:
mainly plastered brick, some stone rubble; deal floorboards
and dado; C19 roof, mainly of oak; C19 staircase. 2nd floor
containing grinding machinery, destroyed by fire, 1950.
