House. Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble, stepped stone
coping to gable ends of slate roof with rendered stacks to
gable ends and right-of-centre. Rectangular plan with lean-to
to the right. 2 storeys; 4-window range. Main entrance is now
to the former rear, but is here described as in former
listing. Gauged cambered stone arches to all windows; that to
first-floor inside left is blind, others are C20 three-light
casements with small panes except for French windows to the
ground-floor left and a 20 conservatory to the centre. The C20
entrance porch to the rear is gabled. INTERIOR not inspected
but known to be altered. HISTORY: this formerly had a central
entrance hall double-depth plan with stacks to the gable ends
and 3-window range; the range to the left was added in the C19
when it was used as a school.
