II

House. C15 or early C16 with later additions, and late C18 or early C19
facade. Timber framed. Ground floor painted brick, first floor
weatherboarded. Plain tile roof. Open hall of 2 timber-framed bays, that to
left narrow, with storeyed right end bay and narrow storeyed left end bay.
Later rear wing to left. Mid-to-late C20 bay to right end in same materials.
2 storeys. Hipped roof. Multiple brick stack to left hall bay, and ridge
stack between storeyed right end bay and right addition. Irregular
fenestration of 5 casements; one two-light to left and one three-light to
right of left stack, and three two-light to right. Panelled door with two top
lights and flat hood, under left stack. Two-storey rear wing to left with
higher eaves, gabled and then hipped down to main range. Parallel rear
range, stopping short of right gable end, with lower ridge and hipped roof.
Interior: only partly inspected. Exposed framing. Chamfered inserted axial
beam to right hall bay. Plain brick fireplace with cambered bressumer to
right side of stack only.
