Pair of attached cottages in L shaped block. C17 altered. Timber
framed, with part refronting, infill and addition in C18 brick, some
chequer pattern, Wellhead Cottage with diaper pattern. Old tiled
roof, central chimney to each wing, modern chimney to S. gable of
Wellhead Cottage. 1 gabled dormer to S. roofslope of Primrose Cottage
2-storeys. W. elevation to road has projecting gable of Primrose
Cottage on LH. 2 bays of 3-light leaded casements, 2 doors. The RH
one Wellhead Cottage with C20 gabled open porch. RH gable has timber
framing above tiebeam. N. elevation has timber framing, 2 bays of
2-light leaded casements, lower addition to LH with lower wing
attached. Rear elevation of Wellhead Cottage has first floor band
and diaper pattern brickwork. Grouped with 3, 4 & 5 Willow End (q.v.)
