Gate piers, walls and
railings to south
of Cemetery Chapels
GV II

Gate piers, walls and railings. 1910 by A J Kilford. Ashlar
piers and cast iron railings. Eight piers stepped in towards
the entrance. The piers are square in plan with chamfered
bases, angle colonnettes and gablets rising from the middle on
each side. Pyramid tops. Linked by low stone walls surmounted
by elaborate cast iron railings and similar gates. Those in the
centre hae been replaced. Listed for group value only.
