Semi-detached houses. 1841-3. Developed by C.H.Hill. Yellow
brick set in Flemish bond, dressings of stucco, roof of slate.
Two storeys over basement with dormers in attic, two windows
each, the houses separated by a stucco pilaster. Entrance bay
projects slightly; steps up to flat-arched entrance with
pilasters and entablature, cornice, overlight and panelled
door of original design; all windows flat-arched with heads of
gauged brick; stucco storey band; sashes of original design to
first-floor windows in both houses; hipped roofs; flat-arched
dormers inserted; stacks to party wall; walls flanking steps,
those to no 45 solid with moulded coping, to no 45
balustraded; single-storey late C20 extensions to both houses.
