House. Late C19 and probably earlier ie. late C18/early C19.
Red brick, peg tile and slate roofs. L shaped plan of house
with rear addition and lean-tos. 2 storeys. Front, SE
elevation: 3 bays, hipped roof, central door, outer windows.
Windows all have slight segment heads with chamfered reveals,
horned sashes, glazing bars, 3x4 panes. Doorway segment
headed, overlight, C19 panelled door, upper panels glazed,
lower, flush bead moulded. Boot scraper. Rear NW elevation:
stacks through roof pitch at each end, to S, catslide roof of
lean-to, sash window, glazing bars, 4x4 panes. Central gabled
stair-well through roof pitch, C19 sash window 3x4 panes. To
N, 2 storeyed gabled wing with flat roofed extension on S side
with further long lean-to to S, also C20 ground floor lean-to
additions to gabled unit. Irregular C20 fenestration, 2 single
light casements, one of 2 lights, one with glazing bars 4x4
panes, C20 door with upper glazed panel. SW side elevation:
house and catslide lean-to rendered and ashlar lined. 2 ground
floor sash windows, glazing bars, 4x4 panes. Gabled wing,
first floor, 2 sash windows, C19 moulded architraves, 3x4
panes. C19 small casement window between with margin glazing.
Ground floor lean-to has 2 C20 doors, one boarded, other with
2 panels, upper glazed, also C20 3-light casement window.
INTERIOR: plain but plan suggests earlier origin.
