Includes: No.1 EASTOVER.
Shop with dwelling. Early C19. Painted brick, painted stone
voussoirs and cills, slate roof with brick stacks to gable
ends. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 6-window range. The curved
corner site has curved bracketed eaves; large raised voussoirs
to slightly segmental arches. The second floor has a curved
4/8-pane sash window to the corner flanked by three 3/6-pane
sashes on east facade, facing the river, a blind window to
immediate right and a 3/6-pane sash to far right. The first
floor has a blind window to curve and to right, a 3/6-pane
sash to far right; three 6/9-pane sashes to left,(east). A
photograph of 1865 shows that the blind window on corner
formerly had 8/12 panes in curved frame. The ground-floor
facade on East Quay has a left-of-centre wide segmental gauged
brick arch with a brick keystone to a C20 door; to right is a
door below a high cornice and overlight flanked by moulded
consoles. The left of east facade and all south facade
occupied by C20 shop. INTERIOR not inspected.
