Leeds-Liverpool Canal Company warehouses, and office, with attached house, 1801-2. Coursed sandstone, roof of slates and corrugated sheet. L-shaped plan. Warehouse facing wharf is of eight bays (seventh and eighth later additions), two storeys, with opposed wide double-tier loading doors in third bay, similar but smaller doors in eighth bay, otherwise three-light windows to both floors (most with flush stone mullions). Left return wall has large blocked archway to upper floor, and two-bay house which continues this range has square windows. Attached at left corner of warehouse is small square two-storey office with pyramidal roof and external steps to upper room.
