Shire at SX 9091 6565

Windmill tower. Probably late C17. Slatestone and sandstone
rubble; parapet rebuilt in mid C20 brick. Circular on plan
with splayed reveals to north and south; segmental-arched
windows, and north-east doorway with voussoirs to arch. One of
a group of former windmills describing an arc to the north of
Torbay. A lease of 1673 refers to the building of a mill with
two stones.
