2 shops with accommodation over. Mid C19. Stucco on studwork,
moulded architraves to 2nd floor; grouted scantle slate roof
on left (No.24), dry slate on right. U-shaped plan including
narrow rear wings. 3 storeys; irregular overall 5-window (2nd
floor) range. Late C19 horned sashes. No.24 has 2
widely-spaced sashes over pilastered canted oriels with
consoles and moulded entablature; carriageway on left; No.24
has C20 copy of C19 shop front on right with canted
2-light-plus-sidelights window with 2 panes per light on its
left and glazed door with overlight, all under moulded
entablature with fascia and end consoles over pilasters. No.26
has 3 close-spaced sashes over central 1st-floor canted bay
similar to those of No.24 except with glazing bars and similar
late C19 shop front with central mullion and glazing bars
removed. INTERIOR of shop of No.24 altered C20; other shop
retaining old boarded panelling to entrance and boarded
ceiling, otherwise interior not inspected.
