Former brewery and malt kiln. Mid C19. Brick with stone
dressings, slate roof. 3 storeys, 7 bays; 2 bays at each end
break forward under pediment. Central 3 bays have band over
1st floor, top frieze, cornice and blocking course with
central gable; raking cornice to left pediment missing
(1984). Windows have wedge lintels and 2-light casements,
those to 1st 5 bays are blocked (1984). End bays have
plaster panels inscribed "ROSE BREWERY"....."AND MALT KILN"
now painted over (1984).
