House. Probably late C17 in origin with early C18 parlour
wing, altered and refenestrated in C20. Built of Isle of Wight
stone rubble with tiled roof and brick chimneystacks. 2
storeys and attics, 3 windows. East front has 3 C20 casements
and off central stone porch, 1 storey originally but
heightened. Datestone under hood moulding with lozenge but no
date. Early C18 Parlour wing to south entirely refenestrated
in C20 with 2 1st floor bays, central 2-light casement and 2
3-light casements. Projecting central porch with cambered
arched double door. Older part of house has roof with
staggered purlins and spine beam with lambs tongue stops.
Dining room has spine beams with 2 inch chamfers and lambs
tongue stops and joists also with lambs tongue stops. Hall has
early C18 stone fireplace. End bay has c1780 pine corner
cupboard with H L hinges to base and serpentine shelves.
