Row of 3 cottages, once 4. The Green C17, Greenkirtles partly
C17 partly C18 with gable dated 1901 and central cottage C18.
Built of Isle of Wight stone rubble with thatched roofs and
brick chimneystacks. 2 storeys 7 windows. Greenkirtles has C17
left bay remodelled in 1901. 1 casement window with brick
dressings and hood mouldings to ground floor. Deep plinth.
Gable dated 1901. To right is C18 portion with 2 C20 wooden
casements and central plank door in tiled penticed surround.
Central cottage is C18. 1st floor has 2 early C19 metal
casements with pintle hinges. Ground floor has modern
casements. Originally the doorcase was in the centre but this
has been blocked in to form a window, and there is a plank
door in the angle. The Green is C17. 1st floor has 2 3-light
wooden mullioned casements with leaded lights. Ground floor
has modern casement and left side plank door in C20 wood and
glazed porch. Interior has wooden cupboard with H hinges. Iona
was formerly listed on 21 July 1951.
