Terrace of dwellings, subdivided into flats. c1840. Stucco
over brick, roofs and stacks concealed behind parapet. Terrace
of single-fronted dwellings: No.16 abutting No.15 Waterloo
Street (qv), the terrace interrupted between Nos 21 & 22 by
the Waterloo Arch (qv). 4 storeys over basement, 1:1 bays,
mostly full-height canted bays, entrance in bay adjoining lit
by small sash window, mostly with 1 vertical glazing bar,
cast-iron balconies to most first floor windows, rusticated
ground floors, mainly pilaster doorcases, rectangular
fanlights and variety of doors, mostly C20. Cast-iron railings
returned from entrances along street frontage.
