GV II

House, now shops and club. Mid C18 with C20 shops. Coursed
squared stone with rusticated quoins; roof of concrete tiles
with rendered and stone chimneys. 3 storeys; 5-window range. 2
steps up to central half-glazed renewed door in pedimented
architrave with scroll brackets. Plate-glass windows to
flanking C20 shops fronts, each with recessed central
entrance. Floor band continuous with doorcase pediment bed.
All upper windows have architraves, the first floor has plain
sashes on sill band with space below utilised as shop fascia
for left shop. Second floor has smaller 9-pane sashes with
string between architraves at lintels. Top entablature with
gutter cornice. Roof has end chimneys with lower parts
rendered and upper parts coursed squared stone with cyma
cornices. INTERIOR: not inspected.
