Houses. Probably C17. Stucco; timber-frame; plain tile roof.
2-storeys and attic; 2-window range: C18, 3/6 sashes in broad
cases; C20 gable dormer with horizontal casement. To left,
entrance to No.70: C19, 4-panel door; to right, entrance to
No.71: C18, 6-panel door and plain casement overlight with old
glass, and to right, canted bay with moulded glazing shafts,
sill and cornice; boarded bressummer with moulded cornice
overall, on boarded consoles. Passage to No.70: timber-framing
visible. Right returned side: early C17 box framing with C19,
2/2 sash, and fixed light, over rubble ground floor with
horizontal casement in heavy oak frame. Further range of
rubble and brick with plain tile roof and brick stack. No.70
was listed on 28.10.69.
