Public house, said to be C17, altered. Pebbledashed stone, lst
floor rendered, with applied timber; thatched roof with gable chimneys
and 2 ridge chimneys. Linear plan of 5 bays, the 4th and 5th, which
break forward slightly, being an addition. Two low storeys; 4-step
mounting block attached to left corner; doors at junction of 2nd and 3rd
bays, and in 4th bay; first 3 bays have modern windows in low horizontal
openings and one small square window at ground floor; bracketed oriels
above them; 4th and 5th bays have rectangular ground floor windows, and
deeply recessed casements above them. All windows have diamond leaded
lights. Interior: 2nd and 3rd bays have some stop chamfered beams;
otherwise all is altered, except, possibly, some lst floor partitions.
