Spring Cottage

GV II

Houses, now house. C18 and C19. Painted brick; stone rubble;
old plain tiles; rendered cross axial ridge stack; stack to
rear partly demolished. L-shaped plan. 2-storeys; 2-window
range: C19, 2-light casements. Entrance to right: C20 plank
door with simple hood; to left, C19 light with casement; to
extreme left, C19 battened plank door to passage to rear; all
under brick segmental arches. Right returned side of C18 brick
with C19 brickwork over. C19 joists to passage ceiling. Rear
of stone rubble with brick over, having mainly C20
fenestration, with earlier overlight. Gable wing of stone
rubble. INTERIOR has exposed ceiling beams, including softwood
purlin; C19 staircase; exposed lintels; stone steps.
