House, formerly a hotel, now flats. Early C19. Red brick. Machine tiled roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic in 4 bays. Panelled door to right under plain overlight, panelled reveals and a reduced metope frieze with a hood. 3 sashes to ground floor with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches, and 4 similar to first floor. Dentil timber eaves cornice below gabled roof. 3 flat-topped dormers with casements. Internal gable-end stack to east above rebuilt gable head. Rebuilt ridge stack left of centre. Inserted in the left corner is a rusticated stone gate pier of former premises to the left.
