TL 41 NW MUCH HADHAM DANE BRIDGE

House. Mid C17 and earlier timber frame. Remodelled earlier and
late C19. Red brick, old red tile roof. 2 storeys and attics.
Twin gable-ended ranges with prominent, end chimneystacks.
Symmetrical S front has modern classical doorcase flanked by
Ground floor canted sash window bays with margin lights. Upper
floor, segmental-headed, margin light, sash windows. Modern
canted window bay on W with similar windows. Gable corbels with
over-sailing courses. E elevation with 1st floor, bracketed,
square, sash oriel, flanked by small pane casements. Interior
has mid C17 floor beams, chamfered with moulded stops. An older
timber frame bay in rear block. Modern single storey extension
on E side.
