Statue of Neptune. Erected between 1700 and 1712, carved by John Harvey of Bath.
Limestone. Square triple plinth with chamfered edges, pedestal and block
supporting fluted shell, draped statue of Neptune standing on 2 aquatic creatures.
Of great landscape value, formerly sited at head of cascade of 224 steps, shown on
Kip's view of Dyrham and the water garden, 1712. (Sources: Verey, D. : Buildings
