C18 or early Cl9 altered. Now approximately 2 compositions, 3 storey fronts
forming an obtuse angle each with wood ogee bracket eaves cornice. Left
part (No 57) 3 windows at upper floors, sash, now with centre glazing
bars only, stucco painted. Right portion, (Nos 58 and 59) cement rendered,
lined, 2nd floor band. 4 2nd floor windows (including 2 windows, left,
with glazing bars - No 58), altered 1st floor with 2 canted bays. Shops
mainly modern. In important position.
