14/90 Wigton Pump

G.V. II

Former market-place pump. Victorian, inscribed on cast-iron plate, Ye Olde
Wigton Pump Re-erected 1924. Cast-iron. Fluted tapering column and shaped cap
with projecting angled nozzle; pump handle to rear and circular patterned
cast-iron bracket to support buckets. Moved from the market place in 1872 and
stored until its re-erection. Has G.V. with the nearby lamp-post, from the same
location.
