House. Probably C16 or earlier origin. Red brick, old tile roof
on T plan. Entirely surrounded by wet moat. 2 storeyed E-W
range, and two and a half storeyed W cross wing of later C17.
This has 2, large, external chimneystacks on W side, stepped in
towards top and with diagonal set shafts. 2 storeyed, tiled
projection between them. Large N elevation windows have angled
brick hood moulds. E range is C18 and later, copying details of
cross wing. 3 windows, all modern casements. (RCHM Typescript).
