Cottage. Probably early C18, enlarged in the mid to late C19. Rendered, over cob or
stone, with half-hipped thatched roof (probably wheatstraw). C19 addition in
uncoursed stone rubble with red brick dressings to openings, and gable-ended Welsh-
slate roof, with C20 bitumen covering. C19 brick stack.
Plan and development: C18 two-room plan, facing south, with truncated integral end
stack to left. Position of original entrances not known. C19 one-or two-roomed plan
addition to left with integral end stack. Two storeys.
Exterior: C18 right-hand part with late C20 two-light metal casements, 2 to first
floor and one to ground floor at left. Left-hand part also with C20 two-light metal
casements in old openings with brick segmental-arched heads, 2 to first floor and one
to ground floor at left. C20 half-glazed door to right with brick segmental-arched
heads.
Interior not inspected, but bulge of bread oven at rear of C18 stack noted (now in
C19 entrance passage).
