5/29 Old Hall Cottage

House, formerly coachman's house to Ormesby Old Hall. Dated 1741. Brick and
flint with roof of black glazed pantiles. One storey. 6 bay south facade,
each bay defined by pilasters. One blind bay, the others with 2-light cross
casements. Gabled roof with central ridge stack and eastern gable end stack
(internal). Dutch gables with rebuilt parapets. Western gable has tie irons
in form of numerals : 1741. 2 storey gabled cross wing to rear with C20 French
window to ground floor. To left and right are C19 outshuts under catslide
roofs. Outshuts pierced here and there by C20 windows and doors.
