829-1/4/207 Bridge carrying road to The Thrifts
at TL 365 132

GV II

Bridge. 1824, with C20 alterations. One of a series of
prefabricated bridges over the New River. Cast-iron girders
with perforated spandrels, ornamental keystones with date,
with convex chordal profile. Span approx 4.5m. Inscribed `New
River Co.' `Priestfield Iron Works near Bilston'
(Staffordshire). This bridge carries an arched concrete slab
carrying the access road to The Thrifts. Cast-iron post and
rail railing.
