Shelter alcove. Early C18. Attributed to Sir C. Wren. Portland stone, brick to
flanks; lead roof. Tall pedimented free standing structure open to the south
with giant semidomed niche to centre, panelled internally; flanked by paired
fluted Corinthian pilasters with shell niches between and carved swags above.
Cartouche with monogram to central keystone. Formerly in gardens of Kensington
Palace.
