Façade of Co-Operative Institute, formerly the Hull and East Riding School of Medicine and Anatomy. Dated 1833. Designed by Robert Abrahams of London. Ashlar and brick. Roofless. Greek Revival style. Single storey on basement. 3 bays. Projecting entre with angle pilasters, entablature with sculptured phial in frieze, dentillated cornice, moulded pediment. Steps with plain flanking walls to central moulded Egyptian style stone doorcase set in a rusticated panel, with scroll brackets to cornice and frieze with date in Roman numerals. Above the door, a painted sign reading "Kingston Court". Side bays have full entablature with dentillated cornice and terminal pilasters topped with acroteria. In each bay, a glazing bar window flanked by quarter pilasters. Below each window, a blank panel.
