East of New Barn


GV II

Barn and stabling. C18 and mid C19. Barn C18 of stone rubble
with pantiled roof. Deep plinth. 4 pivoting casements with red
brick surrounds. Rear has projecting hipped cart entrance. 5
bays. 2 tiers of staggered purlins, diagonal tension braces
and angled queen struts (2 of them curved). To the north is a
mid C19 stable with hayloft above. Coursed stone rubble with
pantiled roof. 2 stable doors. To the south is a pair of
stables. 1 storey stone rubble with pantiled roof. 2 stable
doors in red brick surrounds.
