Octagonal pavilion approx. 130m SE
of St Annes Pier

GV II

Promenade pavilion. Probably c.1890-1914. Cast-iron and glass,
with painted metal-clad roof; painted black, red and gold.
Small octagonal structure mounted on sandstone ashlar plinth,
with slender decorated cast-iron columns, screen walls of
ornamented cast-iron panels in the lower half and windows of 4
tall triangular-headed panes in the upper (except entrance in
south-east side); open-work frieze, scrolled brackets to
projected eaves, and emphatically swept roof with wrought-iron
finial. One of a group of associated promenade structures.
