6/59 East Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably mid-to late C17 with later additions and alterations.
Rendered slate-stone and cob (to overhanging part to front and occasional patches
elsewhere); steep-pitched slate roof. 2 storeys. Irregular 3-window front,
all mid-C20 casements, those to centre and right on first floor directly below
eaves. Flush 6-panel door (upper panels glazed) under gabled porch to left
of centre. Slender stepped external end stack to left and more prominent one
to right with large semi-circular cloam oven projection to base. Almost full-
length 2-storey lean-to at rear.
Interior: Inspection not possible at time of resurvey (December 1987 but likely
to have some features of interest. Included for group value.
