GV II

Manor house, now ruin. Late C16; burned down 1887. Walls of squared and coursed
limestone rubble. E-plan. Gabled outer wings have moulded kneelers, and hood
moulds over 2 three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows to left; moulded
architraves to other windows; 3-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows to
centre. Central 2-storey porch: crenellated, with similar ovolo-moulded 3-light
window above moulded arched doorway with shields it spandrels. Stone ashlar
stacks to left and rear right. Similar windows to rear and to left; similar
doorway to left side wall. Interior: moulded arched fireplace and chamfered
pointed arched fireplace in left wing. Scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
