ST52NW KINGSDON CP LODGE ROAD (East side)

Lodge. C19. Possibly by William Wilkins. Local lias stone rendered and colourwashed, ashlar-lined; Welsh slate roofs with hips to all but east front gable, which is overhung; Ham, stone ashlar chimney stacks with moulded capping, shaped clay pots. L-plan, 2 storeys, 2 bays. Main elevation has bay 1 as the gabled projection, with a 1+3+1 light square bay below, having side pilasters and a flat roof, matching the main house; and above a 2-light casement: bay 2 is a single storey extension, with a 2-light window to plain opening, with a 6-fielded panel door to left: all windows have cast iron diamond lattice lights: similar windows to side and rear. Interior not seen. Building not in use (July 1985).
