Semi-detached cottage. Early C17, modified. Local lias stone cut and squared; thatched roof between coped gables; stone chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Leaded casement windows of 3 lights under timber lintols below, all C20
replacements; entrance door sharing lintol lower bay 2. In west gable a small 2-light mullioned window with remains of a lias stone label, then a low 2-storey extension with half hipped double Roman clay tiled roof. Outshut and other
additions to rear. Interior not seen, but reported is a cross passage 2-room plan with one stud and panel and one in-and-out plank partition: west room has a 4-panel ceiling with plain chamfered beams, a gable fireplace and circular
staircase alongside: beams and fireplace in east room have scroll stop chamfers, brick lined oven to the latter; collar beam truss roof. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, 1982).
