House. Early C19. Stucco front over brick; Welsh slate gambrel roof; brick left
end stack. Double-depth plan 3 storeys, with basement and attic; 2-window range.
Segmental-arched 6-pane sashes to basement. Semi-circular arch over early C19
six-panelled door with decorative fanlight to right; raised impost band links
semi-circular arches over early C19 sashes with glazing bars. Square-headed
12-pane first-floor sashes set in blind semi-circular arched recesses with raised
impost courses; bowed wrought-iron balconies to each window. Flat arches over
4-pane second-floor sashes. Early C19 tripartite sash to rear. Interior: early
C19 panelled shutters and architraves to windows. Enriched neo-classical and
foliate plaster cornices and friezes to ground and first-floor rooms. Modillioned
cornices to front hall and stair hall, which has fine early C19 open-well staircase
with wreathed mahogany handrail, stick balusters and turned newels. Classical
marble fireplace with roundels to first floor.
