8/242 Lawrence Farmhouse

GV II

Detached Farmhouse. Early C18. Dressed stone walls. Patent tile
roof with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers. Two C20 brick
stacks. Large external stone stack on left gable wall with graduated
diminishing stages. 2 storeys. 4 windows, 3-light wooden casements
with glazing-bars, all C20. Wooden lintels and stone arch-voussoirs.
Front door, left of centre, plank and studded with strap hinges.
Interior: unheated central room. Open fireplace with stone jambs
and a cambered wooden lintel, with 2 keeping-places, C18.
