(Nos 44, 46 same property). Early C19 two storeys stucco faced. Band
between storeys. Steep pitch gable end slate roof, moulded wood eaves
cornice. 2 windows each 1st floor, recessed sashes, glazing bars intact
on No 48, architrave surrounds, block sills, one window blocked No 44.
2 windows ground floor No 42 one without architrave and deeply recessed.
The side elevation of No 42 has 2 round headed windows with marginal glazing
and doorway. No 44 has Victorian shop front with rectangular bay window,
recessed house door of 6 flush panels, 4 glazed, rectangular fanlight.
No 48 has small canted wood boy on rendered base with frieze and cornice,
recessed door of 2 flush panels and 2 round headed glazed ones, tent canopy
porch on three columns.

Nos 42 to 50 (even) and Volunteer Inn form a group.
