Farmhouse: earlier C18 with extensions of early C19 and of 1865.
Flemish garden wall bond brown brick with English garden wall bond
orange brick extensions. Hipped graduated Welsh slate roof, 2 ridge
brick chimneys. L-shaped plan. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay nearly
symmetrical front. Brick bands at 1st and 2nd floor. The front is of
2 builds. Windows are 3-light casements with glazing bars under
segmental brick heads. At the centre is a pair of glazed doors under
a similar head. The left side has similar windows and 3 blocked
openings. Date stone reading 1865 and with copperplate monogram
reading RJC against the wall on this side.
Interior: original portion has heavy chamfered ceiling beams. Mid
C19 staircase with turned balusters and some doors with 6 fielded
panels.
