Two houses. Mid C18 altered in C19. Brick and lias rendered, with C20 plain-tile
roof. Each originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. Together comprising a 5-window
range of casements with leaded lights. Projecting cross wing to right has C19
canted bay windows. No.6 has 4-panelled door with hood to left of centre;
entrance to No.5 on right side. Hipped roof with tall ornamental brick stacks at
ridge and end. Interior not inspected but No.6 noted as having chamfered ceiling
beams and exposed bressumer to open fireplace in room to left of entrance. These
cottages were probably altered by Thornby Hall Estates in C19.
