Cottage: early-mid C17 with C19 extensions. Brick-nogged timber
framing on stone base, extensions in washed brick. Corrugated
asbestos roof, 1 ridge (formerly gable) brick chimney. Originally
2-room baffle entry plan. I storey and attic, 4-bay front. Irregular
framing of quite large panels. Windows are C19, 2-light wooden
casements with 2 smaller windows with glazing bars in flat dormers
above. 4-panelled door in 3rd bay behind flimsy lattice porch.
Interior: entry against baffle with main room to left. Inserted
chamfered ceiling beams on later turned mahogany post. Partition wall
has wattle and daub. Tiebeam and collar truss of former end gable has
vertical studs and a blocked original window.
