House, dated and initialled 'H S 1690'. Large dressed stone, with some coursed
rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-room plan; originally, the service end
has been rebuilt and has attached barn (now garage). South front: all are
double chamfered mullioned windows to ground floor, chamfered mullioned to 1st
floor. 2-light firewindow (lacks mullion), with small chamfered light
over 5-light housebody window (lacks 2 mullions), with 4-light window over
(lacks 2 mullions). 4-light window to parlour with same over (both lack 2
mullions). Coped gable to northern end has kneeler and stack. One other stack.
To left of fire-window altered stonework with 5-light window to 1st floor. To
far left wide doorway with heavy lintel and chamfered surround to barn. Rear
has 7-light chamfered window to ground floor. 1st floor blind except for small
light over doorway which has dated lintel and deeply stop chamfered surround.
This is now protected by gabled porch with coping, stone gutter and Tudor arched
doorway with roll moulding.
Interior: Housebody has bressumer and large corbelled fireplace with stone
shelf and cyma moulded surround of C18 character.
