Barn. Early C17. Timber framed with brick infill. Slate roof
probably originally thatch. North front. Symmetrical with stone
base, 5 x 3 bays of small framing to either side of double barn doors,
arch and tension braces at corners and adjacent barn doors. Cl9
additions to east, west and south fronts obscuring C17 construction.
Interior: 3-cell plan formed by low walls on line with posts of barn
doors in North front. These support 2 posts to east and one to west
each supporting a truss of cambered tie-beam, queen posts and a
collar. Small framing of 6 x 3 cells to east wall with arch and
tension bracing at corners and similar truss of the queen posts and
collar. West wall replaced. South wall repeats the symmetrical
arrangements of 5 x 3 cells of small framing to either side but has 3
x 3 cells with a plank door to centre.
