Early C19. White brick with brick eaves cornice and coped parapet. Stucco stringcourse
above ground floor. 3 storeys. 4 windows, the southern window bay slightly recessed.
sashes with glazing bars and iron balconettes to lst floor windows. South end of
facade has 4-centred carriage arch with double doors of 12 recessed and moulded
panels each and mounting block against the south wall. At north end is door with
pilasters, pediment, semi-circular fanlight and door of 6 moulded panels, 4 of which
have been glazed. 6 steps approach.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter and
St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No 45,
High Street is of local interest).
